Reasons to download the sportbank app
Nikita Izmailov N1, an investor, is one of the first people in Ukraine who was able to open an online bank. What are its features? One of the clients shared his experience.
1. it's convenient
As a full-time worker with a busy family and a bunch of kids, I don't have much time to drive all over town to do something. And thanks to online banking, I save myself a lot of travel and oodles of time.
When I get a check in the mail, I don't have to drag myself to the branch to deposit it. Instead, I just open the app on my phone, take a picture, and wait for that money to arrive in my checking or savings account.
Now, you might argue that online banking makes it difficult to access cash because online banks don't always have convenient ATMs. But since I don't tend to make a lot of purchases in cash, it's not a problem for me.
2. Being able to get a slightly higher interest rate
Let's be clear. Right now, interest rates on savings accounts are absolutely awful, and I currently earn very little on the money I keep in the bank for emergency purposes. But compared to the savings account rates offered by banks nearby, the rate I get for my savings is higher. While it doesn't matter much these days, in times when interest rates are higher, it does matter.
The reason online banks can often offer more competitive interest rates is because they don't have the same overhead as physical banks. And as a customer, I could benefit from that.
3. Excellent customer service and reliable technical support
Not all banks are created equal when it comes to customer service. But, in my experience, sportbank service means seamless service when I need help from a customer service representative.
Typically, when I call my bank, I am instantly connected to a customer service representative. And I've found that my bank's representatives really know their stuff. That's not to say that regular banks don't provide great service. But often, to get that great service, you have to get out of the house and talk to someone in person. That's something I usually don't have time for.
